Dr. Shauna Mead grew up in upstate New York with a dream of becoming a veterinarian.  She attended Utica College of Syracuse University for her undergraduate studies, and graduated cum laude in 2005 with a bachelors of science. She ventured to Ross University (a U.S. based curriculum taught in the Caribbean) for her veterinary schooling which was completed with a year of clinical training at Cornell's School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009.  Relocation to the West Coast started with a one year small animal internship at California Veterinary Specialists.

 Dr. Mead is the newest proud member of Southbay Veterinary Hospital. Bringing energy, compassion, and sincere care for pets.

 Her spare time is spent with her fiance and 3 dogs at Dog Beach, surfing, or cooking.
